We are delighted that you are including Oakwood Friends in your search for a new school! Serving students in grades six through twelve, Oakwood Friends is dedicated to educating each child intellectually, physically, and spiritually within a culturally diverse community. Our student body numbers 180 and includes day students as well as five and seven-day boarders from six states and five countries.

Oakwood Friends is guided by the Quaker principles of peaceful resolution of conflict, equality, community, and the recognition of the worth of each individual. These are the central defining features of the culture of our school, reflected in interactions between students and faculty and in the day-to-day operation of the school. We offer our students a rich, college-preparatory curriculum through which they learn to think critically and to stretch their viewpoints to respect and include the perspectives of others.

Oakwood Friends seeks to enroll students who are academically motivated, exhibit strong character, and are eager to engage. We seek students who are ready to contribute their individual gifts and talents - academic, artistic, personal, and spiritual - to a small learning community which, in turn, will challenge and support their growth in those areas.
