College Counseling

The College Counseling program is designed to make all students aware of the multitude of postsecondary options and the academic preparation required to achieve their goals. The goal of the office is to educate and counsel students and families to help them make choices that reflect the interests, abilities, and needs of each student. The College Counseling program includes some of the following programs:

NEW! - Access to The Best College Fit, a valuable resource for the College process

College awareness parent and student programs
Student programs on writing the college essay and the application process
Local college visits
A quarterly newsletter that informs parents and students on timely topics
Trips to college fairs
Financial aid education
College Resource Room available to all students and parents
Parent and student individual meetings
Visits from approximately fifty college representatives

The College Counselor works closely with the Senior Class Advisors to guide seniors and their parents through the college application process in the fall of the senior year and continues to advise students as they sort through financial aid and admission offers.
