Earth Share Day - Tuesday, April 25, 2017

In keeping with Oakwood Friends School's mission and its Quaker values, the school community participates in two days of service a year both on campus and throughout the Hudson Valley. On Earth-share Day, which happenes in the spring, we focus on Earth-friendly activities like gardening and cleaning up parks. Students and faculty take part in different types of projects ranging from gardening at Vanderbilt Mansion, and building boats with Beacon Institute to preparing and serving food at local soup kitchens. On campus, students and faculty work side by side beautifying the campus, baking for donation to local food pantries or taking part in themed social justice workshops addressing pressing issues in the community.
