Ted McDaniel - Dr. William T. McDaniel is Professor of African-American and African Studies and Director of Jazz Studies in the School of Music at Ohio State University. He is a specialist in African-American music, jazz history and jazz performance. Ted. McDaniel is also Dash's nephew and enjoyed a close relationship with her all his life.

Full Circle for Economic Justice

Oakwood Students will present and discuss their work in the Maquiladora border region in Mexico. The primary issue worked on by this club is the problem of sweatshops and their relationship to Free Trade agreements. Featured speakers include Patricia Smith, Commissioner of the New York State Department of Labor, and Marilyn Clement, National Coordinator of Healthcare-NOW, as well as NYSUT President Richard Iannuzzi and Bishop Howard Hubbard of the Albany Roman Catholic Diocese and members of Oakwood Friends School's No Sweat group.
