Athletic Programs
Athletics is an essential component of the Oakwood Friends School’s overall educational curriculum. The program seeks to teach and instruct students in the rules, fundamentals, and skills necessary to participate in various team and individual sports. Athletic participation provides physical training and promotes healthy choices. Competition within and between schools encourages principles of good sportsmanship and fair play, and fosters the spirit of competition as well as school pride.
Oakwood’s Athletics Program is designed to challenge students within a competitive, yet supportive framework. Students are required to participate in at least one team sport each year, with many students participating on multiple teams.
