Elizabeth Phelps Meyer was born in Mount Kisco, New York. She is an arts educator and interdisciplinary artist. She has been educating young artists in independent school settings since 1997. Her art projects, which include interactive ceramic installations and stop-motion animations, address spiritual and social dimensions of our current ecological crises. Meyer has been a student of Buddhism for over twenty years and has studied and practiced in Burma, Nepal, and the USA. She lives on campus in the Barn with her family.
