With over two decades of college admissions and college counseling experience, Haniya also sits on the board of the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC), is a Special Interest Group leader at the national level, and a contributor to college counseling publications. Before her time in secondary schools, Haniya worked in selective college admissions, intimately learning the college application process. Through her study of languages and her work in public and private institutions, she has worked with students from a variety of backgrounds helping each of them with their future planning. Haniya begins working with students in the 8th grade in order to build strong relationships, ensuring students end up at the right place for them after Oakwood.
