Prior to Oakwood, Caroline taught middle school English for five years in New York City and became an experienced reading and writing workshop instructor as well as an intervention specialist for at-risk students. Before becoming an English teacher, Caroline worked in film and television production for eight years which solidified her love of story and the creative process. 

While living in Dutchess County, Caroline has also been involved in community activities including advocating for the environment and helping to get people registered to vote. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, traveling to fun places in the Hudson Valley, reading & writing, watching good foreign films, and doing yoga. Caroline was a Good Work Institute Fellow in 2017-2018.
