Just like college, it is recommended to have a laptop as a boarder at Oakwood. The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi and instructors make use of Google classroom. Many assignments can be accessed and submitted online. Just in case, we do have a computer lab, a few computers in the dorms, and printers available to students additionally.

Oakwood’s dorms are equipped with washers and dryers. Students do not have to pay any money to wash their clothes. Students will just need to bring their own laundry detergent.

Boarders can sign out to go off campus with a dorm parent as long as they have permission from their parents. Students can take advantage of the local shops and businesses nearby within walking distance including, Oakwood Commons, 5 Guys, Starbucks, Tea Talk Bubble Tea, Table Talk Diner, frozen yogurt, Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall, Bonsai Japanese sushi, Chinese take-out, movie theaters, cafes, supermarkets, and more.

The majority of all dorm rooms are doubles. Two students per room. Each dorm room accommodates each student with a bed, a dresser, a closet, a desk, and a safe.
